Parish Council 13th May Tues eve

Housing applications are bound to be a hot topic on Tuesday evening once a new chairman is elected at the Parish Meeting.  LoveGoostrey encourages you to attend.

Goostrey is now threatened by applications from predatory developers  (26 houses by Hermitage Lane, 25 houses by Mt Pleasant, on top of the 38 partially approved on the ex-chicken farm) trying to take advantage of Cheshire East’s failure to prove a 5 year housing supply; despite Goostrey having already fulfilled the required quota for the term of the Local Plan.

Jodrell Bank Observatory has serious concerns regarding the ‘cumulative effect of incremental growth and the steady increase to the overall level of interference which would reduce the quality and scope of radio astronomical observations’ – it would be a crying shame if unwanted housing in Goostrey damaged their work.

Village Hall 7.30pm Tuesday 13th May 2014
