Tattenhall was one of the first villages to adopt a neighbourhood plan and, after 2 years of work and 5000 man hours and two challenges by house developers, they finally completed it this year. It could be a good model for Goostrey to follow to minimize the risk of having large developments ‘plonked’ on us in the future!
However it is important to stress that neighbourhood plans do promote development; but LoveGoostrey believes some development is ok in the village. If it is in small discrete developments that are in keeping with the village environment and sensitive to the needs of village, sensitive to existing residents, and of course sensitive to Jodrell Bank Observatory.
