  1. The car park looks extensive. It is good to have ample parking (I presume the historic agreement with The Crown will continue where visitor will also be welcom on their car park as often parents will no doubt visit the pub). However, it looks as though a large section of green field, an asset to the centre of the village, will be turned over to a grey tarmac car park. Can it be looked into for the car park to be of proportional size to the actual need given The Crown has a very large car park literally across the road. Also can the car park surface be the ‘concrete grass’ green style of hardstanding, whereby it is mosaics of concrete with short green grass showing in between them, thus when viewed from an angle the surface looks green, no doubt beer garden visitors to The Crown would welcome the greener view, as would anyone whom appreciates the green field currently at the centre of our rural village. (If you need to see an example of this concrete grass style hardstanding, it is used on many driveways, and is present on the small layby next to the field at the head of the junction of New Platt Lane and A50 London Road). – Dave Johnson, Booth Bed Lane.
