St. George’s Day Family Service and Brunch

24th April;  St. Lukes Church Goostrey 9.30 am

This year the Goostrey Scout and Guide groups will be celebrating St. George’s day with a family service at St. Luke’s Church, followed by brunch served by the Scouts and Guides. The service will last approximately 45 minutes and will be immediately followed by a brunch of bacon or sausage baps, tea, coffee, juice and cakes, with all proceeds going towards the Scout Hut and Youth Centre fund raising campaign.

We really hope to make this event an important date in the annual Goostrey Church and Scouting and Guiding calendar and therefore ask that you please support us by attending and encouraging your child to attend.

Timings for this event are as follows:

  • Meet at St. Lukes Church 0930 hrs
  • Parade into Church 0940 hrs
  • Service begins 0945 hrs
  • Service ends 1035 hrs (children may be collected if not attending brunch)
  • Brunch begins 1040 hrs
  • Brunch ends 1140 hrs

Thank you for your support and for helping us to raise the money needed to build the new Scout Hut and Youth Centre.

Yours in Scouting

David Giles – Group Scout Leader – 1st Goostrey Scouts
