Tennis Club representative Willie Dudgeon said: “Cyril’s sudden and unexpected death earlier this year was a great shock to us all. He devoted so much of his time to supporting village activities and played a prominent role in Goostrey Tennis Club. Our committee was keen to honour his memory in some way, and installing a spectator bench by the tennis courts seemed a fitting tribute.”
