The fundraising drive for the new Goostrey Scout Hut & Youth Centre received an unexpected £1,000 boost from the Cheshire Freemasons, bringing the tally to over £35,000 by the end of May.

Colin Ross, on behalf of Cheshire Freemasons, said: “I know that Scouts must pledge to do their duty, and Cheshire Freemasons decided that we too needed to do our duty and support this fantastic aim of a new Scout hut and youth centre in Goostrey on the site of a derelict community building.”
