Please come to the Southern Planning Committee Meeting on the 30th July to show objection to this near 40 houses in Goostrey. This will damage the amenity of the village near New Platt Lane and Harrison Drive, and looks set to increase traffic even further along the busy Main Road, the dangerous sharp junction at New Platt Lane / Main Road, and dangerous crossroads junction near the Trading Post. The developers Bloor Homes are offering minimal S106 figures that will actually be of detriment to the village – we don’t need ‘improvements to bus shelters’ as we have no shelters nor even regular buses! We don’t need any further ‘development’ of Booth Bed Lane Playground, as it is absolutely fine as it is, with just enough green space for half a football game. Please defend the village against this preditory development of nearly 40 houses – a massive percentage increase to the housing in our village, potentially up to 80 more cars on Goostrey roads? No thanks!
