Dear Friends of Goosfest,
The planning stage for Goosfest 18 has now been completed and we are delighted to release details of this year’s programme, which runs from Friday 5th October to Sunday 21st October 2018. We are sure that you will find the planned events as diverse and engaging as in past years.

5/10 Snake Davis “in concert” – An evening with the internationally renowned saxophonist.
6/10 Photography for “Absolute beginners” with Richard Weston
6/10 “Strictly Come Joking” – Barry Cryer and Colin Sell (the Ant & Dec of Sanatogen) bring their new show to Goosfest.
7/10 “The Music & Life of Bob Dylan” presented by John Lindley (spoken word) and Rik Roberts & Les Renshaw (guitars and songs)
9/10 “What a swell party” (The Cyril Caulkin Memorial Lunch) – Cole Porter Concert recital with lunch at the Swettenham Arms.
9/10 “The Square Kilometre Array and Jodrell Bank” – Evening Lecture by Antonio Chrysostomou.
10/10 “Cheshire’s World History” – Joint Morning Lecture with the Goostrey Guild by Dr Philip Morgan FSA
10/10 “Standing in LIne” – A story of the Great War through Songs, Readings and Images
11/10 Jewellery Workshop
11/10 “Little Green Men” – A play by Rob Johnson, performed by Emma-Romy Jones and Christopher Ward.
12/10 Dance the night away with “The Revolvers” – Dance to the Best of the 60’s
13/10 Photography Workshop – “Photographing Glass” with Richard Weston
13/10 The “Christians in Concert” – The Liverpool Band reprise their greatest hits and more!
14/10 Pirates – An afternoon of Pirate Songs, adventure and “derring do” for children of all ages!
14/10 The Hope Ensemble – An evening classical recital.
15/10 “Sourdough Workshop” – The return of the Roberts Master Bakers.
16/10 “Madeis Guitar & Cello Duo” – Afternoon recital (followed by the Yellow Broom classic afternoon tea).
16/10 The Goosfest Comedy Store – the sell-out Goosfest favourite featuring Steve Royle, Jon Pearson, Marvin Dickinson and Hannah Silvester
17/10 “What did the Roman’s do for us?” – Joint Goostrey Guild Goosfest morning lecture.
18/10 “Jeannine Barry in Concert” – British Country & Western sensation graces the Goosfest stage.
19/10 “Spanish Evening” – An evening of Paella, Flamenco guitar, dance and song.
20/10 “Write your own memoirs” – Judi Goodwin leads an insightful workshop
20/10 “John Archer Magician” – The man who fooled Penn & Teller brings his unique brand of magic to Goosfest.
20/10 “Music in the Crown” – an evening of music in our local pub
21/10 “Colours of the Organ” – Recital by George Roby
21/10 “The Royal Geographical Society Lecture” by explorer and adventurer Benedict Allen”
