Goostrey Primary School raises £625

Goostrey Community Primary School raised £625 for the new Scout Hut and Youth Centre at a special café with home-made cakes and biscuits at their Annual Exhibition last month.  Collecting the cheque from Reception teacher and Head of Key Stage 1, Mrs Linda Flint, on Friday David Giles said: “I am grateful to all teachers, pupils, parents and other visitors to the Exhibition – every penny will go to creating the new Scout Hut and Youth Centre for children from Goostrey and adjacent parishes.”

The exhibition featured work from all classes on the theme of “Somewhere out there”: their interpretations ranged from the ocean and environment to the universe and constellations, including a model of Jodrell Bank’s radio telescope with photos projected onto it.
