This week’s interview is with Rebecca, manager of Goostrey Home and Leisure.

Nestled in a charming rural location just off the A50 between Knutsford and Holmes Chapel, Goostrey Home & Leisure offers the ultimate country shopping experience. There is a mixture of interesting and unusual shops, which offer a unique selection of gifts and inspiring ideas for  both your home and garden.

They also stock a range of country clothing and accessories. After a busy day shopping you can relax and unwind at the friendly Tea Room, which offers a variety of delicious home-made cakes, meals and snacks. There is a fabulous outdoor play area for children, with outdoor seating for you to enjoy a delicious cup of tea and homemade scones to enjoy the countryside views.

Rebecca informed me that Goostrey Home and Leisure used to be a potato merchant called ‘Thornhills Potatoes’, then an equestrian place, before transforming the land into the spectacular gift shop, 25 years ago. The newly refurbished cafe was added five years ago, and has been extremely popular for it’s delicious homemade cakes.

On an exciting new note, Goostrey Home and Leisure have decided to run their own bar which will be opening at the end of June.

Rebecca excitedly told us…

“There is going to be an upcoming puppet show this summer, with Father Christmas and his reindeers this Christmas.”

Opening hours are from Monday-Saturday 9:30 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.
