MP offers support at village meeting

Over 200 villagers attended the public meeting last night, hosted by GPC, to air their views on the application for 119 houses near Shear Brook in the middle of the village.  Fiona Bruce MP and local Ward Councillors Les Gilbert and Andrew Kolker were able to answer residents’ questions following a presentation by Ken Morris [heading the objectors’ group against the Gladman development].

Fiona Bruce told the meeting that she supported residents in their fight against over development here and has been speaking with the Planning Minister.

It was suggested that the easiest way for anyone wishing to object is to email ‘’ [quoting name/address and the planning ref. 14/5579C ] – last day for comments is a week on Wednesday.

I have just tried to submit my comments on the Gladman Planning application online via the Cheshire East website.

What a waste of my time. It will not accept my submission and just reverts to the top of the page! I tried three times. I have not had any problems for previous applications so there is probably a fault. I have now E Mailed my comments to them. Hopefully other residents are not suffering the same problems. [……it does sound as if it is advisable just to email them in, remember name and address and planning ref. LoveGoostrey]
