The work on developing nine more park homes at Mount Pleasant Residential Park is steadily coming together. The former Bates family home was demolished in Spring, along with residents garages to make space for more homes of varying sizes, by Tingdene.
It is thought that a one-way-system will be included to control the entrance and exits on Mount Pleasant Residential Park, leading to the main Goostrey road. A 30mph speed limit is in force on Main Road and it is vitally important that drivers adhere to that. Please remember 30mph is a limit and not a target.
The entrance to Goostrey village needs careful negotiation, with the village school on both sides of the main road, please respect the children, staff and guardians at school drop-off and pick-up times especially.
Mount Pleasant Residential Park is approximately half way through the village, and pedestrians and vehicles use the entrance and exit. Many if its residents are elderly, and drivers and cyclists need to slow down in anticipation of a break in the flow of road users.
Please respect the residents who need to pull out of their drives and side roads. REMEMBER 30MPH IS THE LIMIT NOT THE TARGET.
