Known for it’s flapjacks and sultana and ginger scones, Pastimes of Goostrey is a beautiful village cafe set in the heart of Goostrey village, which has become very popular with cyclists, who stop off en route for a bite to eat or a fresh English brew. I had a chat with owner Wendy, who said

“I have run the cafe now for seven years, and it has such a lovely atmosphere, i just love it!”

Wendy also mentioned that they they will be expanding the menu to include  Cheshire farm ice-cream and a variety of smoothies, plus milkshakes. Delicious!

All the food at Pastimes of Goostrey is homemade, and Wendy sources her produce from all local suppliers which gives the cafe that lovely community feeling.

I have been a regular customer of Pastimes and enjoyed her food, cake and drinks. Over lockdown she started doing take away meals which kept many a family well fed over all those months.
She continues to deliver a professional service and quality food and I for one cannot contemplate Pastimes not being in our village. Here’s to full opening soon and all the stress and anxiety forgotten
