At its meeting on 17th December 2013, Cheshire East Council’s Southern Planning Committee rejected the application for the access road to the development via ‘The Boundary’ New Platt Lane, Goostrey. However, the status is still shown as ‘Not Decided/Not Available’ on the CE Planning Database.
At its meeting on 20th March 2014, Cheshire West & Chester Council’s Strategic Planning Committee approved the application for 38 dwellings to be built on land to the rear of Westwood, New Platt Lane, Allostock by 4 votes ‘For’ , 3 votes ‘Against’ and 2 abstentions.
The CW&C Planning Database however still shows its ‘Status’ as ‘Pending Decision’ as of today. It is believed this is because the CW&C Council is considering complaints from residents about the process followed at the Planning Committee.
It is thought that the application for the access road may be brought before the Cheshire East Southern Planning Committee again following representations from the applicant.
This application has NOT gone away and people who are opposed to it need to make their views known.
