Police Appeal: horse attacked in Goostrey

Officers from Northwich Local Policing unit are appealing for information after a horse was attacked in Goostrey.
The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 5.30pm on Friday 10 July and 12.00pm on Saturday 11 July in a field off New Platt Lane, Goostrey.
During the incident one of six horses within the field was stabbed in the leg and as a result the horse was treated by a veterinary surgeon, requiring stitches to its leg.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 827 of 11/7/2015, or alternatively information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
