Something amazing grew from the seeds of Pandemic Lockdown. It was the human spirit. This young lady, is about to be crowned in June.
Goostrey residents worked smartly to ensure that our village, the vulnerable people, children, pets, countryside and businesses, know that we all love Goostrey. It is very important to remember that, the uncertainty from restrictions, was a positive approach.
Thank you to all the volunteers, workers, all patient and understanding people who helped us. The LoveGoostrey volunteers, The Trading Post, The Village Store and Post Office. The Newsagent’s and deliveries brought to doorsteps from Dairies, Farm Shops and the Churches
Also, the village looks so pretty and every day I see something new winding-up a tree. This morning, a fuschia pink horse-chestnut tree flowering with a custard centre. The Hawthorns erupting white with seedy centres.
Please do not forget the Photos for our Community Competition. Get those cameras creating pictures that will make history. I am delighted to see the photos from Goostrey Matters of the Traction Engines. Please keep in touch.Hopefully they will make a “Toot-Toot” or few on Goostrey Rose Day next month.
Now! Let’s get Goostrey amazing again. The idea to explore different villages and towns earlier in Spring, made me value our special community. As Lockdown posed interaction issues with variants, there is ‘No Place Like Home’.
Love Sarah. Love Goostrey
