Sainsbury’s application in Holmes Chapel

Holmes Chapel shopping

The planning application for a Sainsbury’s in Holmes Chapel has now been submitted to Cheshire East Council ~ for a 25,000 sq ft foodstore on the site of the former Fisons Building on London Road.  It will include a petrol station and recycling.  Hopefully it will mean that people stay and do their weekly shop locally, supporting smaller shops in HC at the same time, rather than heading for the supermarkets in Northwich/Knutsford/Congleton etc.

This further adds weight to the argument that Holmes Chapel is our Local Service Centre.
