After our recent news that Love Goostrey was for sale there was a flurry of interest in taking on the site. Love Goostrey is pleased to announce that from today local publisher, journalist, illustrator and author Sarah McNaught has taken on the site and will be bringing her wealth of experience to developing the site and social media channels.
“I spent many years working for several publishing houses throughout the U.K. A change of career path took me to working within schools, as a play-worker and classroom assistant, before setting up as a freelance writer and publishing consultant.”
Sarah has recently published a series of children’s books about a fox called Fandanzel and the first two books have seen Sarah doing signings at Waterstone’s and featured at the local Just So Festival.
“Fandanzel was created to raise awareness amongst young and old readers alike, of nature and the countryside in a creative way, taking them on a journey that is factual and explanative, but fictionally exciting, with lots of focus on the haunting mystery of nature.”
“The characters are born out of real life observations, but with a very different twist to the norm. This story offers the reader a most enchanting viewpoint on life in the English countryside, and the majesty of the surrounding forest and moors.”
Sarah has lived most of her life in Macclesfield, but moved abroad briefly. She now lives in the middle of the village and can often be seen out and about with her labrador Topaz. She loves the area and is keen to see that local issues and preserving our great village are at the top of the agenda when it comes to Love Goostrey.
She can be contacted directly via email@example.com and we wish her every success in the role.
