Volunteers on Goostrey’s SpeedWatch team recorded 19 vehicles doing over 35 along Station Road between 8:15/9:15 this morning; almost all offenders were driving into the village, with one recorded at 48mph.
Roads with street lights “are generally restricted to a speed limit of 30 mph ( 48 km/h) unless otherwise specified” (The Highway Code), so there is no excuse.
(The 30 mile/hour starts before the railway station)
