World Day of Prayer 5th March 2021
Service written by the Christian women of Vanuatu
This year the Biddulph Churches Together organising committee has decided that due to the pandemic it is not possible to meet physically on the day. Instead, we have recorded the service, socially distanced, to be available on YouTube on March 5th at 1.30. it will continue to be available on that YouTube site .
Here is the link to CT8 (Christians Together in the ST8 Region):
if you are not able to access YouTube then you can reach the service by telephone; ring 01782 939017 and choose option 3. You will be charged local call rate. Again, the service will be available for some weeks. If you have a service booklet have it with you, but you will be able to follow the service without a booklet. For copyright reasons we have had to change the hymn ‘Yahweh you are my strength’ to ‘I sing the almighty power of God’.
The service is written to include each person having a small stone or pebble to hold. We invite you to find one before the service and keep it nearby ready to hold at the appropriate time.
WDP relies on the offering of money to support projects around the world for women and children. We do invite you to donate as you are able, in one of the following ways:
If you have been given a service booklet use the envelope provided. Be sure to fill in all your details if you are able to Gift Aid your donation. Return the envelope to the person who gave you the booklet, and it will be sent to Head Office.
• By Text: to donate £5 Text 2021WDP 5 to 70085. Change the number 5 to any number up to 40 (maximum donation £40)
• Donate through the WDP website https://www.wwdp.org.uk
We pray that the service will be a time of blessing for all.
